Leadership Thought of the Week #3

Every week over on LeeCockerell.com, Lee shares a Leadership thought, just something to think about in your daily life. Every week, we will be sharing with you that thought and adding some insight into how that plays into the Gen-Y lifestyle. So without further ado, this week's leadership thought is:

If you don't make a decision, you still have made a decision.
Wow, this one can be a great grounds for a hot topic. Essentially by doing nothing, you are making the decision to opt out of a certain situation. By not deciding to go somewhere or do something you give up the chance of something happening at that place or time. Is missing out the result of not making a decision? Or do you have a diffeent track with this one?

Gen-Y sound off in the comments!

    Hi Lee,

I think this is true. If you're not deciding on something, your decision is procrastination. Sometimes it's better to make any decision and move forward with work or a project, than to procrastinate and not move forward at all.

    Lauren,

You are completely correct. Even by choosing not to move forward you have made a decision for that project. You do have to remember that you will not always be judged by your decisions but how you handle the process of those decisions.

    Thanks for dropping by!
